Every time you think about a button-up, you immediately think about a white one right? The button-up shirts in cool colors don’t get the shine they deserve! I love color button-ups because they can be worn without a blazer, jacket, or sweater. Are we really wearing bare white button-ups, unless we get the extra large men’s version to fit like a dress? No! We always want to throw something on top of it.
So…. Let’s get off the white ones and onto some vibrant collared shirts. I’ll name a few.
Pink
This is my favorite color when it comes to shirts with buttons because the different shades of pink have a range. You can go for a hot pink, silky top (which I personally own and have gotten a zillion comments on). One deemed it “stunning”, which made my day because this is the beautiful woman I see around the work building with the most amazing Christian Dior Book Tote! omggg).
Blue
I enjoy a blue buttoned shirt, especially a striped one. They fit well with destroyed denim and tennis shoes (sneakers if you’re not from the South lol). This type of shirt can be dressed up for the office if you want to wear an oversized one with trousers.
Green
Emerald green is a very striking color. Wearing a button-up in this color is perfect for white pants or jeans. Make sure the gem tone matches your skin because it can get a little tricky. This particular color doesn’t look the best on me, and I learned that in high school when a girl decided to tell me green wasn’t my color. Even though no color was her color, I still agree that she was right.

Red
Get festive with red! Red is also a bold color so be careful not to over-accessorize or wear too many layers. This is the perfect holiday party type of top.

Pretty right? Although it isn’t easy styling button-downs in these colors, it’s still worth the trouble. Which one is your favorite?
