Fall is here, I think it’s done approaching… I think it’s here already. Now is the time to rack up on your pumpkin spice everything, and daydream about Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations. Most importantly, it’s time to get your fall fashion in order, starting with your sweaters. Today, I break down all of the sweaters on my wishlist.
WRAP CARDIGAN
A wrap cardigan is the perfect fall sweater because it adds a design element that shows your shirt underneath, as well. Wear your sweater with leather pants and calf-length boots. A wrap sweater can also be dressed up with jeans and heels. Add jewelry but only to your ears, you don’t want to overdo it with the jewelry. Skip a necklace, since the wrap pattern is the focal point.
OVERSIZED SWEATER
I love oversized sweaters because I’m tall. Usually, when I try on sweaters, the sleeves don’t quite hit beyond my wrist. I love sweaters that drown me and not only fit well beyond the wrist but also give me room to move around in the overall design. You can wear an oversized sweater with jeans or leggings. I prefer leggings or joggers with an oversized sweater. It just feels a lot more comfortable throughout the day, as if I’m floating. Perfect for a mani-pedi day!
TURTLE NECK SWEATER
A turtle neck sweater can be dressed up or down. I love how the sweater only shows your arms. The juxtaposition is sexy but subtle. You can wear a turtle neck sweater to all types of events too! Of course, jeans are your best friend when going casual with this type of top but I kind of want to go for a jean skirt this season versus pants.
SWEATER TANK
A sweater tank is like an ease into a full-blown sweater. You don’t really think too hard about items like this because it’s so easy to throw on and go! Now this is the type of top I LOVE to wear with jeans. Just putting this on and skipping down the street to get coffee is all I see. You can make it more fancy but why even bother?
SHORT SLEEVE SWEATER
Short sleeves aren’t just for t-shirts. I’m always itching to get a cardigan that doesn’t have long sleeves because sometimes the weather is not that cold. These types of sweaters are ideal for the times when it’s chilly in the morning but warm up throughout the day. You can wear this type of sweater at work if you work in an office setting.
Sweater weather is correct but I do want to switch it up a bit this season. These are my top fall sweaters and hopefully, I’ll get a chance to post a full outfit in one of these styles.
